More storm ‘n’ sun

As though the ‘end product’ of the water cycle were not extraordinary provision enough to life on earth, its staggering beauty is a literally immeasurable gift. Think of every time you lie down and gaze upward at the sky; or sit near a window – reading or dozing but also aware of cloud formations; or look down from your airplane window at the ‘ice cream castles in the air’; or visit an art gallery, or call to mind any number of your favourite paintings or photographs. Water in motion, at any stage in the cycle, on earth or in the heavens, makes this beautiful planet of ours dynamically spectacular – every nanosecond, everywhere …

    1. Thanks, Lori. A good weekend – and a sunny Sunday today. Yes, absolutely, Constable and Turner – both were in my mind when I wrote the post. Did you ever see the Mike Leigh film ‘Mr Turner’ ? I found it spellbinding. And (yes, I know I’m an oddity!) among the many reasons I love Hotel Britannique in Paris is the collection of Turner prints in their breakfast room! Hope you’re having a lovely weekend too 🙂💞xx

      1. Ahhh, somehow I had a feeling this was so… ❤️ And no, I am sad to say that I have not seen this wonderful film, but clearly must rectify that. I am utterly enthralled by Turner’s work. Have stood before them in the Tate and wept. Xx
