Edinburgh effortlessly accommodates old, new, art and green – plenty to see and delight in, even if you’re just on a day trip. But if you’ve a bit longer, and can simply amble at leisure, this city reaches into your soul … and the phrase ‘I’ve fallen in love with …’ often applies as much to this capital as to people.
