Widespread candlelight is one among many lovely things I’ve noticed during my stay in beautiful Denmark – in the hygge home of my kind hosts, in restaurants, cafés and public spaces. It’s warming and delightful. One of my Danish friends tells me it says something like ‘We’re here, now, and this moment is special.’ In a snowy landscape this week these moments are, indeed, very special and appreciated.
