Some joys that come to our doorsteps, inevitably, outshine others. Perhaps because some such joys carry a particular measure of comfort. Something along the lines of – no matter how awful things may appear at times, this life is full of so much richness and goodness that we cannot help but tumble into the kind of response that is the very name of this treasury of awe and wonder. Devotions.

How wonderful to hear from you! Tumbling into devotions, of wonder, of delight…I feel like a child doing somersaults down a grassy hill – arriving exhilarated at the right door. Sending much love

Ah devotions, tender moments, quiet reflections. Sorely needed in this time of anxiety and tumult. Good to hear from you, Simon! xx

Lori. Thank you. Yes: tender moments. Mary Oliver affords us all an anchor in the storm. This book will become one of my greatest treasures – like friendship, friend. xx
