The illiterate of the 21st Century won’t be those who can’t read and write. They will be those who can’t learn, unlearn and relearn – Alvin Toffler
When I shared this quote with a pheasant on my morning walk it looked at me blankly. But I gained two miles’ worth of contemplation from it – gleaned from my daily journal – and looked up the writer when I got home. Turns out he wrote a book: The Adaptive Corporation. It’s amazing what a person can learn, unlearn and relearn – just in the course of a morning walk!
Such an interesting quote, Simon, though I fear that moving forward, the definition of illiteracy may be a ‘both/and’ rather than an ‘either/or.’ Hear so many disturbing statistics about the number of folks who read these days….

Absolutely so, Lori. I don’t know what I’d do without books, and especially poetry 😊xx
